Draconis Central

Yep, I'm changing URLs again. I've decide I'm going to learn HTML and make a better site. When it will be completed, I can't say. I just can't bring myself to care about a limited free site when I can take the time to make a better one that I'll actually want to update. I'm tired of forcing myself to update a site I'm displeased with, and I know that I'm to blame because I jumped the gun and created it. I won't make that mistake again. Until I create a website I can be proud of, you can find Draconis Central at it's temporary home here: http://draconiscentral.blogspot.com. I'll be posting any current and future videos, rants, etc. there so change your bookmarks. The forums will be closed until the new site is finished and there's actually a reason to post.

Four new videos are up and the forums are pretty much done. Now it's just a matter of getting some members. I posted a link to the forums in the links section.

The first site exclusive video is up. This video can only be found here, not on Youtube or any other site. I'm also putting the absolute finishing touches on the message board(nothing fancy, just making sure everything is in working order, tweaking member groups and titles, and making sure the rules are visible). It should be finished by tommorow.

Second video is up...actually it's been up for a few days. There may or may not be a bonus video(site exclusive) up in a few days, depends on if it actually uploads to the site. I'm also putting the finishing touches on a message board. I'll post a link here and on Youtube when it's ready.

So...I bought this neat little Dazzle DVD Recorder earlier today and I love it. There will be lots more videos, especially when I get another splitter for recording the audio along with the video. There will be videos exclusive to this site as well as live streams on Ustream(once I get the audio set up). This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time, ever since I made a YouTube account.

I've added a blog to the site. Yes, I am well aware of the irony that entails me ending a blog just to add one to my new site less than a day later. I just thought it would be counter productive to have a blog and site with two different services when my goal is to direct people to the site and not the Wordpress blog. I am also aware that there is a page on the site for rants and a blog for everything else. In all honesty I only made a blog to balance things out and I didn't have anything bigger than ranting planned. Now I do, hence the site. Blog posts will come when I feel like it as will rants, they just won't be as prominent.

So here's the deal: I'm actually going to be posting something other than rants and the like to the internets and I decided to make a pre-emptive strike by creating a Ustream page and giving a dead forum a fresh start. Well, I jumped the gun a bit but didn't want to delete my work and I wanted to eventually replace my blog with a personal site once I stopped bouncing around and came to a decision about what I wanted to do. Turns out what I want to do is rant, post videos, and one other thing I still want to do but it may be a while(try a couple of years or longer). So, I made a new site that will serve as a hub for all of that(maybe more if I ever learn HTML, CSS, etc.)
